IN:FUSION
In:Fusion is an experimental hackathon, an incubator that fosters collaboration between scientists, theorists, artists, and designers to create cutting-edge artistic innovations.
In:Fusion objective is to select 10 contemporary artists to work alongside researchers from partner research institutes to refine and explore their project ideas. This selection process involves a competition where artists submit their artistic projects and ideas, aligning with the theme of the program. From the submissions, a shortlist of 10 artists will be invited to present their concepts at the hackathon, which will be held at Conacul Otetelesanu, a part of the National Institute for Research and Development in Physics of Materials located in the Magurele platform. By the program’s conclusion, four outstanding projects will be recognized and awarded.
In:Fusion is set to establish a collaborative framework that bridges the gap between artists and scientific researchers. This unique initiative provides artists with unparalleled access to scientific information and facilities available at the partner institutes. Moreover, it creates opportunities for artists to form cooperative working partnerships with researchers, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas and a new realm of creativity for the researchers themselves.
